Dunkeld Celebrates Chopin 2010 – Dominika Eska's Debut Recital in Scotland Dunkeld Cathedral 3.00pm
The international concert pianist and composer, Dominika Eska, delights her audiences with her deeply moving interpretations, her magical connection with those who hear her and her personal compositions.
She is travelling from Kraków in Poland especially to perform for Chopin 2010, on Dunkeld Cathedral's Erard grand piano. The very piano that Chopin himself would have chosen.
You can hear Dominika for the very first time in Scotland on Sunday 1st August 2010 at 3pm in Dunkeld Cathedral.
Accompanied children are welcome and for free. Advance tickets available in person from Jeremy Law of Scotland, Atholl Street, Dunkeld.
Dominika will perform a personal selection of Chopin pieces, including his famous and sentimental nocturnes, a poetic etude and an heroic ballade. She will play mazurkas, pieces based on Polish dance, as well as Chopin's beloved waltzes.
Dominika's superb recital finishes with examples of Chopin's signature poetic works – the Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise Brillante.
